Lavender Graduation 2021

Lavender Graduation 2021

Greetings Class of 2021!

Congratulations on this incredible achievement - you have worked so hard to earn your degree, and we are so immensely proud of you.

The LGBTQ Center team knows that the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted many parts of our lives, and our current reality impacts how we can celebrate with each other. Even though we aren't able to hold our annual Lavender Graduation ceremony in-person on Grounds, we will hold space for our 2021 graduates in a virtual Lavender Graduation Ceremony on May 20, 2021 at 3:30pm. This annual event is a celebration that recognizes LGBTQIA+ students of all races, ethnicities, classes,  abilities, and religions to acknowledge their achievements and contributions to the University community.

Register for the May 20th Lavender Graduation Ceremony

You can view some of the speakers from last year's virtual graduation below! You deserve to be recognized for all of your accomplishments, and we hope that you will take time to reflect on your time at UVA and celebrate with us!

In community,

The LGBTQ Center Team
