Greetings Graduates!
Congratulations on this incredible achievement - you have worked so hard to earn your degree, and we are so immensely proud of you.
The LGBTQ Center team knows that the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted many parts of our lives, and our current reality prohibits us from physically celebrating together. Even though we weren’t able to hold our annual Lavender Graduation ceremony in-person on Grounds, we held our virtual Lavender Graduation on May 14th, and the videos below showcase a few speakers from the event! This annual event is a celebration that recognizes LGBTQIA+ students of all races, ethnicities, classes, abilities, and religions to acknowledge their achievements and contributions to the University community.
You deserve to be recognized for all of your accomplishments, and we hope that you will take time to reflect on your time at UVA and enjoy some video messages from members of our community. Also, if you were unable to attend the ceremony, you can reserve your lavender cord using this form.
Stay connected, and congrats!
In community,
The LGBTQ Center Team
